- Deposits are insured by FDIC Approved as Seller-Servicer with Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration, and additional private investors

- First Republic opened in San Francisco, specializing in real estate lending, with a focus on larger home loans
- Approved as a Seller-Servicer with Fannie Mae
- Purchased San Diego-based El Camino Thrift & Loan
