First Republic Business Online Security

All online transactions involve two participants — you, and First Republic Bank. First Republic Bank has established effective controls to protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of all customer information and to ensure the security of these transactions. This level of security is achieved by:

  • Protecting the privacy and the confidentiality of the communications between your browser and our servers.
  • Verifying that only authorized persons are allowed to access online banking.
  • Maintaining isolation of our computers from the Internet.

Please be aware that you must exercise the same care and caution in your own online environment.

Online Banking can be safe and convenient provided that you take some simple precautions. The following are some guidelines that can help protect your information and provide a safer online experience.

  • Keep your PC secure. Use up-to-date Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software. Use this software to run scans frequently to detect and remove programs that may be harmful to your computer or obtain your personal information.
  • Keep your Operating System, Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware up to date. It is important to install the updates recommended by your operating system and software providers.
  • Use a current web browser. Keeping your browser up to date will help ensure you have your browsers latest security updates.
  • Use recommended browsers. When using our online services, we strongly suggest using the browsers recommended for the service.
  • Be sure that you have a firewall installed on your computer. A firewall can help prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to a computer.
  • Never go to the First Republic online banking site (or any other banking website) from a link in an email.
  • Be cautious of computers you do not control. The Bank strongly advises against logging in to your bank account from a computer that is not controlled by you or your company (e.g. do not login from a library, hotel computer, or other public computer).

Protecting Your Account Information

  • Choose your password carefully and avoid easy to guess passwords related to your family, friends, pets, key dates, etc. Use symbols and numbers to make your password unique.
  • Keep your password and security question information secret at all times.
  • Memorize your password. Never write down your password or security question information.
  • Never give your account details to anyone unless you know who they are and why they need them.
  • Be careful on calls that you did not initiate. Neither the Bank nor law enforcement will ever contact you to ask you for your password or security information.
  • If someone calls you and you are are suspicious about them, take their details and call us at 888-372-4891.
  • Treat emails you receive from senders claiming to be from the Bank and asking questions with caution. Be wary of emails or calls asking you for any personal security details.
