Here are some of the benefits of the Preferred Rewards Gold Card:
No pre-set spending limit — The American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Card has no pre-set spending limit which gives you purchasing power that adjusts with your use of the card. No pre-set spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors including current spending patterns, your payment history, credit record, and financial resources known to us.
Membership Rewards® program2 — Earn one point for virtually every dollar you spend on your Card, and a wide variety of opportunities to earn additional bonus points. Points can be redeemed for incredible rewards from some of the finest names in travel, shopping, dining, and entertainment. Plus, points have no expiration date and there is no limit to how many you can earn.3
2,500 Membership Rewards program bonus4 — Each time you renew your Preferred Rewards Gold Card membership, you can earn 2,500 Membership Rewards bonus points.
Pay with Points5 — Fly with no blackout dates or restrictions, where you want, on any airline when you pay with points for flights on the American Express Travel website.
Gold Card Events6 — You have access to some of the best seats in the house — often before they go on sale to the general public — for theater, concerts, sporting and family events, and more.
The Event Ticket Protection Plan7 — Using your Card to purchase Tickets provides an extra layer of protection. The Event Ticket Protection Plan provides reimbursement benefits up to [$1,000] per Occurrence and up to two Occurrences per 12-month period. Just charge the entire purchase to your Card, and contact us if the Ticketholder cannot attend due to a Covered Incident as defined in Policy.
Roadside Assistance Anywhere8 — This service provides up to 4 service calls per year, with $50 of coverage per service call. (Limit of 1 service call in 7 days for the same cause.) Towing is to nearest authorized facility with a maximum of 10 miles. Service is limited to contiguous United States and Canada. Purchase Protection Plan9 — When an American Express Cardmember charges a covered purchase with their Card account, the Purchase Protection Plan protects that item for up to 90 days from the date of purchase if it is stolen or accidentally damaged, including vandalism. The coverage is limited to $1,000 per Occurrence, up to $50,000 per Cardmember account per policy year, and is in EXCESS of other sources of indemnity. - You are eligible to earn 2,500 Membership Rewards bonus points upon annual fee renewal if your Card account is open and in good standing within three billing periods after the annual fee is billed. Once bonus points are awarded, please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the points to be credited to your Membership Rewards account.
- To qualify, all your American Express® Card accounts must be in good standing. The Membership Rewards program enrolled Card account you designate will be charged for your purchase. Membership Rewards points will be debited from your program account and a credit will be issued to the Card account you designate for the corresponding dollar amount. If the points redeemed do not cover the entire amount of the charge, the balance of the purchase price will remain charged to the Card account you designate. Minimum redemption of 5,000 points.
