Mr. Berg joined First Republic in 2015 with extensive industry experience working with high net worth individuals as well as large endowments, foundations and pension plans. Prior to joining First Republic where he continues a career of more than 38 years, Mr. Berg spent five years at Credit Suisse as a Director of Private Banking. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Berg spent seventeen years at Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he constructed, implemented and maintained sophisticated investment plans for high net-worth individuals and families as well as large endowment, foundations and pension plans. Prior to joining Bernstein, Mr. Berg spent sixteen years at Ernst & Young in Tax Services in the West Palm Beach office. Mr. Berg’s work has led him to be recognized as a 2019 Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in Florida by Forbes.1
Mr. Berg is currently a board member of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and served as the 2015 Campaign Chair. Mr. Berg currently serves as Board Chair of the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches. Previously, he served as the Florida Chair of the Anti-defamation League. He’s also currently a member of the ADL National Commission, an ADL Pension Investment Advisory committee. Mr. Berg is also currently a member of the advisory board of the Honors College at the Florida Atlantic University. Previously, he served as a member of the executive board of the Florida Atlantic University Foundation and Kravis Center Corporate Advisory Board. Mr. Berg was the founding chairman of Leadership Palm Beach County from 1984-1987 and was a member of the board until 1990. Mr. Berg was a founding board member of the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County in 1986, served by gubernatorial appointment.
Mr. Berg attended The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he received a BBA in Accounting and JD in Law. He is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars.
