About Clarke

Clarke Leaverton is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

As a partner within The Leaverton Strahan Team, Clarke guides multigenerational families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in pursuing their goals with greater purpose and direction, smoothing a path to their objectives. With more than four decades of experience, Clarke offers a level of strategic insight and practical knowledge that is difficult to replicate. He enjoys a natural ability to connect with others, appreciating their priorities and quickly becoming a trusted member of their inner circle.

Clarke points to the continuity of his team as a key differentiator for clients. That stability, he notes, has allowed Clarke and his colleagues to develop deep relationships with clients—sometimes spanning three generations within a single family. His team is well versed in the many intersecting disciplines that constitute client wealth—from investment management and financial planning, through business succession, lending, and tax-sensitive wealth transfer.

Among Clarke's greatest career satisfactions has been the ability to see clients fulfill their ambitions—whether a stress-free retirement, the sale of a business, higher education for children or grandchildren, or a first or second home. Clients from varied paths have sought Clarke's advice, including high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations, businesses and ERISA plans. To each of these relationships, Clarke has brought dependability and a balanced perspective, guiding clients toward a more secure financial future that reflects their distinctive interests.

Prior to moving to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management with his team in 2023, Clarke was a Managing Director and Wealth Manager with First Republic Investment Management. Earlier, he spent more than 30 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Senior Vice President, Investments. He earned his B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound and also studied those two disciplines at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Clarke and his wife Leeann enjoy spending time with their three adult children and eight grandchildren. In his free hours, Clarke enjoys skiing, golf and fly fishing.
