Eric Harrison is a Senior Managing Director and Wealth Manager at First Republic Investment Management. 

Mr. Harrison joined First Republic through the acquisition of his company, Luminous Capital, where he served as a portfolio manager, CEO, and Head of Alternative Investments. Luminous Capital, an independent investment advisory firm with $5.9 billion in assets under management at the time of acquisition, exclusively served wealthy families and private foundations. 

Mr. Harrison has been a principal investor for over 23 years, working within venture capital as a partner in Crosspoint Venture Partners, followed by eight years as a founding general partner within GI Partners, a middle market buyout firm with over $4 billion in assets under management. Mr. Harrison began his career working within business and corporate development at Hewlett-Packard and Ricoh Corporation.

In addition to managing clients’ liquid assets, Mr. Harrison remains responsible for portfolio construction and manager selection within hedge funds, real estate, and private equity vehicles.

Mr. Harrison has served on over 15 corporate boards, and currently serves as a member on the Board of Directors of the four non-profit organizations; South Central Scholars, a Los Angeles-based inner city educational assistance foundation; Woodside Priory, a private middle school and high school in Portola Valley; Girls’ Middle School, a private, progressive all-girls school in Palo Alto; SVUDL, providing resources to under-resourced high schools in East Palo Alto and San Jose.

Mr. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado and earned an MBA from The UCLA Anderson School of Management.
