Karen Creel is a Managing Director of Estate and Business Planning at First Republic Securities Company.
Ms. Creel has over two decades of experience working with Financial Institutions and Wealth Management firms, serving their Ultra High Net Worth clients by incorporating generational and intergenerational tax planning into financial and estate plans. Ms. Creel’s focus is on wealth accumulation strategies and wealth preservation and transfer solutions through the application of life insurance.
Prior to joining First Republic, Ms. Creel was a National Sales Director at MetLife, where she led MetLife’s institutional distribution for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. Before MetLife, Ms. Creel was a Senior Vice President with Capitas Financial, working exclusively with Morgan Stanley and their Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Managers.
Ms. Creel began her career and spent over twelve years as a practicing Trust & Estates attorney and entrepreneur, having founded her own Trust & Estates practice. Her firm’s primary concentration was serving the Wealth Management Divisions of top private banks and trust departments, designing customized estate and tax planning strategies for client accounts ranging from $1 million to over $100 million in assets.
Ms. Creel received her Juris Doctor from the Villanova University School of Law, having graduated magna cum laude from Boston College. After receiving her law degree, she continued her education at Villanova and received her Masters of Law, LL.M., in Taxation.
