Add external accounts, gain peace of mind

Adding accounts to your First Republic mobile or online banking enables you to, among other things:

  • Computer monitor icon 

    Monitor balances and transactions across checking, savings, investment, retirement, and other accounts

  • transfer arrow icon 

    Confirm transfers made to and from other financial institutions

  • account review icon  

    Review debit and credit card transactions

How to add an external account.

Once you have upgraded to the new digital banking experience, you can use the Add external account feature to add bank, investment, credit card, loan and other types of accounts from any financial institution. This allows you to view comprehensive, updated information for your accounts in one place.

Get started with 3 simple steps.

  1. Click or tap Add external account on the Accounts page.

  2. Add external accounts on desktop and mobile app 

  3. Choose the institution you would like to add, then enter the sign-in credentials you use at that institution and follow the prompts.

  4. If you’re having trouble finding your financial institution, use the search bar at the top and try the following:

    • Enter keywords for the service you use. For instance, your bank might use different names for credit cards and for deposit products.
    • Copy and paste the URL for your financial institution’s sign-in page. For instance, it might look like: https://creditcards.yourbank.com/

  5. View your external accounts wherever, whenever — from your desktop or First Republic mobile app. You can add as many accounts as you’d like.
