Susan M. Ifill Joins First Republic's Community Advisory Board

CEO of Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City Is Newest Member 

First Republic Bank (NYSE:FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced that Susan M. Ifill, a nationally respected community development leader and CEO of the Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City (NHSNYC), has joined the bank’s Community Advisory Board.

Ifill has extensive expertise in affordable housing, financial empowerment and economic development initiatives. She has more than 28 years of experience in corporate financial management and nine years in nonprofit community development in New York. 

As CEO of the nonprofit NHSNYC, she leads a team focused on revitalizing underserved neighborhoods in New York City. Since 1982, NHSNYC has helped facilitate more than $2 billion in investments in low-and-moderate-income communities throughout New York City, including $1.65 billion in affordable mortgage financing to help 7,400 families become homeowners.

The mission of First Republic’s Community Advisory Board is to further strengthen the bank’s fair lending and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs for low-to-moderate income and underserved minority communities. The Board provides strategic guidance that advance the bank’s initiatives regarding affordable housing, small business and economic development, and financial empowerment.

The members of the Community Advisory Board are:

  • Faith Bautista, President and Chief Executive Officer, National Asian American Coalition (NAAC), and Chief Executive Officer, National Diversity Coalition (NDC). 
  • John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Operation HOPE
  • Janice Jensen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. Jensen is the current Board chair.
  • Claudia Viek, Founder and Catalyst, Invest In Women Entrepreneurship Initiative
