First Republic conducted an extremely thorough interview process.

I’m the Deputy Chief Information Officer for First Republic, and the hiring process involved about 30 interviews plus trips to San Francisco and New York. As I met more members of the executive and senior management team, I knew that First Republic was a great company to join. The conversations were always around culture and the importance of finding the right fit among new hires.

It’s powerful seeing everyone come together.

I work in the Tech Ops group and run all of First Republic’s technology infrastructure services, which involves working very closely with our business partners, information security, enterprise risk and internal audit. The most interesting projects are those that are transformative for First Republic — making a positive impact companywide and enabling better experiences for our colleagues and clients. Additionally, mobilizing our colleagues for the Paycheck Protection Program and preparing for remote work during the COVID-19 crisis were both amazing to see, as the team did an outstanding job and the entire company coalesced from coast to coast.

The people, inclusive culture and high spiritedness of everyone makes working at First Republic such a pleasure.

I value full contact management, collaboration, emotional-intelligence and building collegial relationships that foster innovation, vision, strategy and results. What impresses me the most is that the CEO and president roll up their sleeves all the time and are not afraid to pitch in to support whoever is in need.
