Former Intern

First Republic Bank offers countless opportunities to learn.
The best part about interning at First Republic is the countless opportunities to learn. From the Lunch and Learn series to Toastmasters, the Bank’s programs offer a chance to refine professional skills and grasp new knowledge. Also, I’ve been able to enhance my public speaking and collaboration skills through cross-departmental projects and presentations for executive-level audiences.
Employees are encouraged to show a sense of entrepreneurialism.
First Republic admires growth and entrepreneurialism, and it invests in the growth of its employees. Everyone from your manager to the department leadership wants you to succeed, and you are encouraged to share ideas and run with them. Colleagues have supported me and my ideas by providing valuable feedback or offering help. I now know what type of culture I want in a future workplace.
My role focused on community engagement and inclusive marketing.
Part of my day-to-day responsibilities was to work with nonprofit partners to identify ways our colleagues can engage with their audiences. Whether it was a financial education workshop or a networking event with students, we looked for ways to serve local communities. I also assisted with the production of diversity, equity and inclusion–related assets and supported the Relationship Managers from the Eagle Community Home Loan Program.
One of my favorite experiences as an intern was being a member of both the Diwali and Hispanic Heritage Month planning committees this year. We were challenged to find creative ways to engage our colleagues and clients virtually. Not only was I able to network and meet new people, but I also helped execute events that meant a lot to our colleagues and united us all despite working from our individual homes.
