General Information

• What happened with my First Republic commercial deposit account(s)?
  Effective May 25, 2024, your First Republic commercial deposit account(s) transitioned to JPMorgan Chase.
  
  First Republic online banking is now “view only.” Your online banking activity needs to be conducted on JPMorgan Chase’s digital platforms.
• Did my account and routing numbers change?
  Your First Republic account and routing numbers were transferred to JPMorgan Chase. Your account number did not change, but you will see a new routing number for your transferred First Republic deposit accounts in JPMorgan Chase online and mobile banking. Both your prior First Republic and the new JPMorgan Chase routing numbers will work to send and receive payments. You can continue to use either routing number until you are notified otherwise.
• Can I visit a Chase branch to make transactions?
  Yes, you can bank at any Chase branch. Visit chase.com/branch to find a location near you.
• Who can I call if I have questions?
  If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your relationship team. For more information, visit JPMorgan Chase’s Integration Welcome Center.
  
• Do I need to take any action on my First Republic deposit account(s) that transitioned to JPMorgan Chase to claim my funds / outstanding checks?
  If you opened your deposit account(s) prior to May 1, 2023, or you have outstanding checks issued by First Republic prior to May 1, 2023, you must take action to claim ownership before November 4, 2024. This is an important Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) requirement. A final FDIC notice will be sent via postal mail in mid-August 2024.
  
  Claim your deposits:

  • Write a check on the account.
  • Make a deposit or withdrawal/payment to the account.
  • Schedule an automatic direct deposit or withdrawal/payment.
  • Initiate an online transfer between your deposit accounts.
  • Make a transaction at a Chase branch.

  Claim uncashed official bank checks issued on First Republic:
  

  • All bank drafts (such as official checks, cashier’s checks, dividend checks, interest checks and expense checks) issued on First Republic must be cashed prior to November 4, 2024.

  If you have multiple deposit accounts that use the same tax identification number (TIN), you only need to take action on one account; the remaining deposit accounts using the same TIN will automatically be claimed.
  
  Deposits or withdrawals from investment accounts or interest payments made by on checking or savings accounts do not qualify.
  
  If you are unable to take any of the above actions to claim your deposits, you can:
  

  • Write a letter and ask that your account(s) remain active. In your letter, include: the type of account(s): checking, savings, money market, etc., name(s) on the account(s), the account number(s), and the signature of an authorized signer(s) on the account(s), with the name and address.

  • Visit a Chase Branch to complete an account certification form with a banker.

• What’s happening with my other First Republic accounts that have not yet transferred?
  Other First Republic accounts or features may transfer at different times, and you’ll receive separate communications about them, if applicable.

Connectivity Solutions
(Online Banking)

• Which JPMorgan connectivity solution did my commercial account(s) transfer to?
  Commercial deposit accounts transitioned to J.P. Morgan Chase Commercial Bank are available on Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^®.
  
  Personal accounts cannot be accessed on Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^®. Please note that your accounts may need to be accessed on different digital platforms. Visit our main FAQ page to find more information specific to Chase, Chase for Business^®, J.P. Morgan Private Bank and J.P. Morgan Advisors.
• How do I access the JPMorgan Chase connectivity solution and mobile app?
  Corporate Online authorized users active as of March 8, 2024, were sent email instructions starting late April through May 2024. Look for email and/or text notifications that will guide your setup.

  Corporate Online sub-users: If you do not have login credentials, contact your System/Security Administrator for access.
  
  

  IMPORTANT: Please log in within 5 days of receiving your User ID and temporary password and token activation instructions to avoid being locked out of your JPMorgan Chase connectivity solution. If you do not log in within those 5 days, there may be a significant delay in receiving a new temporary password.

• As a Corporate Online Administrator / Security Administrator, what should I do to set up my profile?
  Key things to do include:

  • Entitle and add new sub-users, including at the account and product level.
  • Activate money movement services.
  • Review profile settings and personal information to ensure accuracy.
  • Set up account nicknames.
  • Set up tokens.
  • Update alert preferences.
  • Enroll in fraud protection services (e.g., Positive Pay check fraud protection services).

• Can I continue to use First Republic online banking now that my deposit account(s) has transitioned?
  Yes, but you can only view your information, not make any transfers and transactions. We won’t be updating deposit account information, balances and recent transactions on First Republic channels. Use Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^® to see current deposit account balance information and recent transactions and to manage your account(s).
  
  We will, however, continue to update balances and transaction information for loan and investment accounts on First Republic online banking for any accounts that haven’t transferred yet. If you need help with those accounts, including making loan payments or transactions, call us at (888) 408-0288. We may not be able to process same-day payments and transactions, so please plan accordingly.
• I use Quicken and/or QuickBooks to view my First Republic account(s). Do I need to take any action to maintain the connection with my account(s) that has transitioned?
  Yes. You can re-establish your connection using your Chase Connect^® login credentials, and you will see up to 90 days of transaction history. If you choose to remove your First Republic account(s) from the third party, you may lose access to older transaction history. For more information on how to reconnect your account(s), visit:

  • QuickBooks Desktop
  • QuickBooks Online

  
  Please note: J.P. Morgan Access^® does not support Quicken and/or QuickBooks account aggregation services, and, as such, those will be unavailable after May 24, 2024.
• I use a third-party service other than Quicken and/or QuickBooks to view my First Republic account(s). Do I need to take any action to maintain the connection with my account(s) that has transitioned?
  Yes. You can re-establish your connection using your Chase Connect^® login credentials, and you will see up to 90 days of transaction history. If you choose to remove your First Republic account(s) from the third party, you may lose access to older transaction history.
  
  Please note: J.P. Morgan Access^® does not support third-party account aggregation services, and, as such, those will be unavailable after May 24, 2024.

Deposits, Payments and Transfers

• Will all my payments and transfers continue now that my accounts have transitioned?
  • No. Any recurring or future-dated (after May 24, 2024) bill pay, wire or transfer payments you set up at First Republic were not transitioned to JPMorgan Chase and will need to be set up again with JPMorgan Chase.
  • The online bill pay recipients you set up on First Republic online and mobile banking apps transferred to JPMorgan Chase, but you need to re-establish any recurring or future-dated bill payments and transfers. You can do this in Cashflow360 on Chase Connect^®.
  • Preauthorized ACH scheduled transfers and preauthorized internal scheduled transfers that have been established through your banker did not transition with your accounts. You will need to utilize a comparable JPMorgan Chase service through Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^®.
• Did my ACH, Wire and/or Bill Payment payees transfer to JPMorgan Chase?
  Yes. ACH, Wire and Bill Payment payees as of May 24, 2024, transferred to Chase Connect^®. ACH and Wire payees as of May 6, 2024, transferred to J.P. Morgan Access^®. You can use these to set up payments on the JPMorgan Chase connectivity platforms. Please note that Bill Pay payees may have continued to transfer through June 14, 2024, and FX wire templates did not transfer to JPMorgan Chase.
  
  

  Bill Center users: Bill Center payees did not transfer over to JPMorgan Chase. A JPMorgan Chase Client Integration Support team member should have reached out to assist you with the transition of your commercial deposit account(s) to JPMorgan Chase, including enrollment in Cashflow360 bill pay service. • Will I continue to have access to my money movement activity history on First Republic online banking, including historical transfers, Zelle® activity, wires, mobile check deposits and bill payments?
  For First Republic Banking Online users: All Move Money functionality in First Republic Banking Online is disabled, including the ability to see activity by Move Money type (transfers, Zelle^®, wires, mobile check deposits and bill payments).
  
  However, you can view up to 18 months of First Republic transaction history on your main and account dashboards, and view and save up to seven (7) years of First Republic historical statements and documents. Your information will roll off over time. Effective December 12, 2024, the First Republic Online Banking platform will be decommissioned and no longer accessible. Download historical statements and documents prior to this date.
  
  For First Republic Corporate Online users: All money movement functionality in First Republic Corporate Online is disabled. However, transaction history for money movement services will remain available, with the exception of Bill Pay and Bill Center. Bill Pay and Bill Center are unavailable after June 14, 2024.
  
  You can also view up to 6 months of transaction history on your main account dashboard, up to 18 months of history within Information Reporting, and up to seven (7) years of First Republic historical statements and documents. Your information will roll off over time. Effective December 12, 2024, the First Republic Corporate Online platform will be decommissioned and no longer accessible. Download historical statements and documents prior to this date.
• Did my wire and/or ACH limits transfer to JPMorgan Chase?
  Yes, wire and/or ACH limits transferred to Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^® and are available to set up payments and/or transfers.
• Did incoming wire instructions change now that my First Republic deposit account transitioned to JPMorgan Chase?
  • International wires: Yes. For incoming international wires (both USD and FX), you must update your payment instructions to reflect J.P. Morgan Chase’s SWIFT BIC (CHASUS33).
  • Domestic wires: For incoming domestic USD wires, you’ll continue to use your current Fed ABA routing number (321081669).
• What is changing for manual wires?
  You can send wires through JPMorgan Chase’s connectivity solutions. JPMorgan Chase does not accept wire requests by phone. Sending wires online is more secure, convenient, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Wire requests from deposit accounts on Chase Connect^® will incur a $500 processing fee if not completed online. Wire requests from deposit accounts on J.P. Morgan Access^® can only be completed online.

• Will recurring ACH debits and credits continue?
  Most recurring ACH debits and credits set up with third parties using your deposit account and routing number will continue, for example, direct deposit of a paycheck or payment of a utility bill set up directly with the utility.

• What payment types are unaffected and will continue now that my deposit accounts have transitioned?
  The following payment types are unaffected and will continue:

  • Direct deposit – direct deposits into your account will continue using your checking or savings account number.
  • ACH – automated electronic payments (ACH) you have set up on the website of a third party (such as a utility company) to be deducted from your First Republic deposit account(s) using your checking or savings account number will continue.
  • Automatic monthly payments for First Republic loans – if you are enrolled in the First Republic auto-debit program (automatic payments) and those payments are made from your First Republic deposit account(s) using your checking or savings account number, this service will continue.
• Can I continue to use my First Republic checks?
  Yes, you can continue using your current First Republic checks until they run out, as your First Republic account number and routing number were transferred over to JPMorgan Chase.
  
  If you'd like to order new JPMorgan– or Chase-branded checks, you can place an order on JPMorgan Chase online banking or by visiting a Chase branch. Note that these new checks will have an updated JPMorgan Chase routing number.

Statements and Documents

• Can I access copies of past First Republic statements?
  Up to 7 years of previous First Republic deposit account statements transferred to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Up to 24 months of previous First Republic deposit account statements and 24 months of transaction history is viewable online on Chase Connect^®.
  
  For commercial deposit accounts transferred to J.P. Morgan Access^®, previous First Republic deposit account statements and transaction history will not be viewable; however, they can be requested as needed.
  
  Please note: You can access and save up to 18 months of First Republic transaction history and up to seven (7) years of First Republic historical statements and documents on First Republic Banking Online and Corporate Online. Your information will roll off over time. These platforms will be decommissioned on December 12, 2024. Download historical statements and documents prior to this date.
• Did my First Republic paperless preference for statements transfer to Chase?
  First Republic paperless preferences did not transfer to JPMorgan Chase; however, paperless is the default.

Access and Security

• Did my fraud alerts carry over automatically?
  No, you need to enroll and activate fraud alerts on Chase Connect^® and/or J.P. Morgan Access^®.
• Will I automatically receive ACH Fraud Prevention Services and Check Fraud Prevention Services?
  No, if you were enrolled in these services at First Republic, you need to re-enroll. Once you re-enroll in these services, your outstanding check register and/or ACH rules will transfer over.

• Will my security token work on my new Chase account?
  No, if you used a First Republic security token to access your account, and require one after the transition, your token will need to be replaced. Reference the email sent to authorized users starting in late April 2024 for more information.

Debit and ATM Cards

• When will my First Republic debit card stop working?
  Your First Republic debit or ATM card will stop working once you activate your temporary replacement Chase card. If you did not activate your temporary replacement Chase card, your First Republic debit card will continue to work until October 1, 2024.
• Will I receive a new debit/ATM card from Chase?
  First Republic clients transitioned to J.P. Morgan Commercial Bank were sent a replacement Chase debit/ATM card as part of the integration process. Starting September 13, 2024, Chase debit/ATM cards linked to a Commercial Banking account will be deactivated and closed, as JPMorgan Chase will no longer support this type of card program for Commercial Banking accounts. Please refer to the communication you received for detail on the timing for your card. If you have any prescheduled payments, including automatic debits or recurring payments, you’ll need to set them up using an alternative payment method, such as wires or ACH. JPMorgan Chase offers several types of cards and alternative payment methods and solutions. Please contact your relationship team about with questions and to explore options that will meet your business’ needs.

Discontinued Services

• Are all my First Republic account-related services available at Chase?
  Not all services are available, and some will have changed. Reference the emails sent to authorized users starting in late February and visit JPMorgan Chase's Integration Welcome Center. for more information.
