Twitter Guidelines
1. Client/Customer Service
As always, we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service. Please note, however, that our Twitter feed(s)/page(s) are not a substitute channel for services, products or general questions. If you are a client and need assistance with any of your accounts or our products and services, please contact our Customer Care Center at (855) 886-4821, Mon-Fri 5am – 9pm, Sat 6am – 8pm, Sun 7am – 5pm Pacific Time, and we will be happy to assist you. If you tweet us regarding any customer service related matters via any of our Twitter feeds/pages we may divert you to other First Republic channels to assist you as quickly and efficiently as possible. 2. Confidentiality
Please remember that our Twitter feed(s)/page(s) are public and anyone can see your tweets, retweets, comments, posts and other content. As such, never disclose account or other financial information or any personal information through Twitter. Privacy and confidentiality of our clients is of the utmost importance to First Republic. We will never ask for your account information, social security number, or any other personal or sensitive information from you through Twitter. Any tweets, retweets comments, postings or disclosures you make on Twitter, including without limitation, the First Republic Twitter feed(s)/page(s), are subject to Twitter’s control, terms of use, disclosures, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In addition, please note that when participating on a First Republic Twitter feed(s)/page(s), you are also subject to the First Republic Privacy Policy.
3. Response Time
We will make every effort to respond to comments and tweets, retweets, posts and comments in a timely manner. However, please note that our First Republic Twitter feed(s)/page(s) are not monitored 24 hours/7 days a week and responses will take place during normal business hours. In addition, we may not reply to every tweet, retweet, post or comment provided on our Twitter feed(s)/page(s).
4. Third-party Relationships
Twitter.com is owned by a third party unaffiliated with First Republic. We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of any third party (including without limitation Twitter) or for privacy or security policies or terms of any third-party (including without limitation Twitter) at this site or any third-party site that may be linked by this page or other Twitter.com pages. We do not endorse and are not responsible for any third-party material on this page or other Twitter.com pages, such as ads, content, products, opinions, advice, recommendations or any other material contained on third-party sites or other pages on Twitter. First Republic has many advertising relationships and some linked third-party sites may contain content from sponsors, or sponsorships, paid by First Republic.
5. Content Guidelines
We encourage and expect tweets, retweets, posts and comments to be polite and respectful. We further encourage users not to tweet, retweet, post or comment:
a. any content that is unlawful, profane, stalking, harmful, threatening, abusive, attacking, discriminatory, hateful, harassing, tortious, denigrating, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, false information, rumors, inflammatory, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable or unrelated;
g. any material that contains software viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, corrupted files, or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or that may damage or interfere with the operation of another's computer or property of another.
You should also not use Twitter to:
a. attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, computer systems or networks, through hacking, phishing, password mining or any other means;
6. Copyright And Intellectual Property Matters
Users who mention First Republic in their content should have a reasonable belief that they are authorized to use such content and are not violating any copyright or other intellectual property rights. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the First Republic-provided content is owned by First Republic unless otherwise indicated. You may not remove, reverse engineer or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary content or notices or infringe on any party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, intellectual property, or other proprietary rights, or right of publicity or privacy. Any violation of such intellectual property rights is your sole responsibility.
7. Disclaimer Of Liability
First Republic will not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of, or in connection with, your use of Twitter.
8. Additional Information Disclaimer
First Republic cannot guarantee, and is not responsible or liable for, the accuracy or completeness of tweets, retweets, content or information tweeted, retweeted or posted related to it by users on Twitter. First Republic disclaims any and all representations and warranties, express or implied, as to third-party user content related to it on Twitter. 9. Special Guidelines For First Republic Employee Use
If you are an employee of First Republic, you must follow the First Republic Social Media Policy and all other applicable policies, including without limitation, those policies and guidelines relating to identification of yourself as an employee and certain restrictions pertaining to employees maintaining securities licenses.
